Hi! I'm Avery Bechtel. I have a serious love for photography that has been insanely fun to nurture over the years. I've loved photographing growing families, capturing those ever so fleeting moments in time, but, friends, photographing weddings is MY PASSION! It feels like such an honor to have a hand in preserving those memories for years & generations to come. My ultimate goal is that I can provide a beautiful & authentic glance back in time so that you are able to remember the love & support you were surrounded by on such an instrumental day of your lives together. Regardless of how cliche it sounds, I truly feel that life is way too short & should be lived with the utmost intention, love, & kindness.
times I've traveled internationally
For this Bechtel clan, family comes first. It's our main inspiration in this journey we're on, and we absolutely love connecting with others who share the same outlook on life. Life is short & these moments with our babies, sisters, aunts, uncles, parents, & friends are fleeting. I'm honored I'm able to preserve them for families for years & generations to come.
We are adventurers at heart & love all things outdoors. We own & love an Airstream Bambi International. It's been so fun to drag her around creating memories together. My husband Josh & I love to travel internationally and have ventured to Thailand, Mexico (multiple times), Costa Rica, and Nicaragua & Greece in 2020!

My husband, Josh, & I love the outdoor lifestyle & our sweet Colorado mountain town Salida. In November 2015, we welcomed the loveliest little lady, Parker Reese, into this great big world & she forever changed our lives. Then in March 2018, Rowen Kai, joined us in this wonderful journey, making us a family of four. He's the happiest & sweetest little mama's boy who has completed our family. Being a mom has changed me in some of the most unexpected & wonderful ways. I haven't 'lost myself' in motherhood but it certainly has created in me an even deeper, more loving self who appreciates life's most mundane of moments that much more. Who knew a 4lb 15oz teeny tiny little love could do such big things? If I'm not photographing, you can usually find me hanging with my family, traveling (preferably internationally!), running, biking, hiking, skiing, or on the river in some form. I'm incredibly close to both my sister & mom and love adventuring & creating with them through this life. We have two dog loves, Waylon (chocolate lab/chesapeake bay) & June (golden retriever).
